Dr. Ralph Lim has over 20 years of expertise in comprehensive, cataract, and refractive surgery. He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Air Force and Ohio Air National Guard with an esteemed 28-year military career, including combat service in Iraq, where he performed critical ocular trauma surgeries.
In addition to his military background, Dr. Lim has a distinguished record in military, university, and private practice settings, highlighting his commitment to patient care and education. Most recently, he received back-to-back teaching awards (2023, 2024) from Ohio State University’s Department of Ophthalmology, where he continues to support resident education as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. Dr. Lim is affiliated with the University of Arizona, Ohio State University, and Ohio University Schools of Medicine.

He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds medical licenses in Arizona and California. His specialties include laser cataract surgery with premium IOLs, LASIK, laser glaucoma treatments, MIGS, and minor oculoplastic procedures such as blepharoplasty.
Now at M&M Eye Institute, Dr. Lim offers his comprehensive expertise to American Vision Partners network patients. Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Lim enjoys golfing, food, and travel and finds joy in teaching and mentoring the next generation of ophthalmologists.
